Camp Millie

What is Camp Millie all about?

Camp Millie is a four-day summer bereavement experience where children ages 6- through young teens can find support in coping with the loss of a family member. The atmosphere is filled with energy and hope as campers experience a sense of belonging, trust and acceptance. Campers recognize themselves in each other, feeling less alone. We strive to bring laughter and joy into their lives by providing the opportunity to share their experiences with loss while bonding with peers. Activities include daily grief circles, opportunities for creative and physical expression, and plenty of fun.

How to Get Started

STEP 1:

Tell Us About Yourself

If you have additional questions about Camp Millie or are not sure if the program is the right fit, submit a request for more information here or call 610-222-4110 and our Intake Coordinator will assist you.

STEP 2:

Screening

Upon receipt of your submitted Registration Form, a member of our Group Program staff will contact you. Together we will determine if Camp Millie is an appropriate program for your child. We cannot wait to hear about your child and discuss any unique needs. If your family is new to us, we will arrange a time to meet you and your child for a short visit at our Center. This helps with first-day nerves! If in agreement, a Camp Consent will be emailed. The camp fee is then due and payable.

STEP 3:

Receive support and make connections

Get Ready! In the beginning of June, specific items needed for camp will be emailed to you, along with other details, and a pamphlet about how to support your child during Camp. We cannot wait to spend time with your child at Camp Millie!

What Campers Have to Say…

“I love Camp Millie! Can’t we come all summer long?”

“I was nervous on the first day but now I am definitely coming back again next year!”
