Annamarie McDermott is a medical social worker and care management leader with over 20 years of experience in acute care, emergency medicine, critical care, behavioral health, and hospital-based care management. Early in her career, she served as an Emergency Room and Critical Care Social Worker, providing crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, trauma-informed support, and grief and bereavement counseling to patients and families facing serious illness, traumatic injury, sudden loss, and end-of-life situations. 

In her current role, Annamarie coordinates social work and case management initiatives at the system level for one of the largest non-profit health systems in the United States, Trintiy Health of Livonia, Michigan. Much of her work involves collaborating with palliative care, hospice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patients and families navigating chronic and serious illness.  

Her experience work includes care transitions, advance care planning, caregiver support, and grief and bereavement services aimed at improving quality of life and patient-centered outcomes. 

Annamarie received her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Broomall, PA with her family.
