Christopher Grosso
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Christopher Grosso serves as Executive Director of the Center for Loss and Bereavement, beginning in January 2025. Christopher oversees a leadership team of director-level clinical, community engagement, and operational staff, and leads the development (fundraising) and strategic planning initiatives. He works closely with the Center’s Board, staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and, most importantly, those the Center serves, to ensure this important work continues, while strategically planning for growth and mission advancement.
Christopher brings to the Center two decades of development experience at non-profits and educational institutions, most recently serving as Director of Advancement Communications for Arcadia University. Prior to Arcadia, Christopher served in several director-level development and communications roles at non-profits, including at Cranaleith Spiritual Center and the Congregation of the Mission. For seven years, Christopher served in development and communications at Cabrini University, ultimately being Director of Leadership Communications for the University’s President and Cabinet.
He previously served as a full-time interfaith chaplain and pastoral counselor in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices, providing end-of-life care and bereavement support to patients and families. His experience in healthcare chaplaincy forged a deep appreciation for the value of grief and bereavement services for individuals, groups, and the community.
Christopher earned an MA in Religious and Pastoral Studies from Cabrini University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College, and a BA in English from West Chester University. He completed 1,600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education (Chaplaincy) at St. Mary Medical Center and Holy Redeemer Hospital. He lives in Phoenixville, PA, with his wife, adult stepdaughter, and some mischievous cats. When not working, you can find Christopher slowly jogging on a treadmill, writing and publishing poems, reading novels, or spending time in Sea Isle City.
